Downtown Opticians has been serving the Middle Georgia area since 1980.  We currently have 5 (five) locations : Macon, Warner Robins, and Griffin.  We are also one of the few remaining Optical shops that has an in-house lab.  This provides us the ability to create your custom made eyewear without it being outsourced to Atlanta.  Downtown Opticians is looking for a friendly, capable individual to join our sales team.

This position is full time.  Position requires reliable transportation. As a small company, there are times you may be asked to cover another locations.

Responsibilities:

• Learn about the latest lens materials and various lens options and their uses
• Learn about fitting proper size frame and style per customer needs
• Take accurate measurements for highest quality of vision accuracy
• Repairs, adjustments and dispensing of eyewear
• Insurance verification and understanding how it applies to eyewear purchase
• Greet customers, answer telephone professionally and politely, setting up eye examination appointments
• Various office duties, such as filing, scanning documents, computer entry, keeping office organized and clean
