Merchandise Assistant Position

The Macon Mayhem are looking for a Merchandise Assistant for our upcoming 2025-2026 season! This is a part-time, paid position located in the city of Macon. The ideal candidate will be an independent worker, detail-oriented, a natural problem solver, trustworthy and reliable.

Now – April 2027 Attendance at all Mayhem Home Games (Office Hours Available)

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing purchase orders and incoming inventory from third-party vendors
• Tag, inventory, fold, and organize new and existing retail items
• Maintain floor displays and stock levels
• Prepare incoming merchandise orders for customers accurately and in a timely manner
• Find, address and solve merchandise related issues
• Train staff/interns assisting with merchandise on game days
• Assist our full-time staff with administrative duties
• Manage merchandise area and loss prevention

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing at least 25 lbs., stand on your feet for 8+ hours at a time, ascend/descend stairs while carrying boxes or other items
• Communicate in a professional and customer-oriented manner with fans in-person, on the phone and via email
• Frequently use computer software including, but not limited to Google Docs, Google Sheets, Print Master and Square Point of Sale System.
