Performs a variety of technical tasks related to the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of all components in the computer terminal network, including distributed processing equipment and related peripherals.Duties and ResponsibilitiesImage computers throughout the district.Deploy/install software.Ensure OS, application, and GPO updates.Troubleshoot and solve technology issues relating to classroom technologies, audio, and safe alerts.Install, configure, inventory, maintain and repair computer hardware, software, and peripherals.Set up, disassemble and palletize equipment.Perform preventive maintenance procedures on computers and peripherals as needed.Assist the network technicians completing any work or projects necessary to have technology ready for the upcoming school year.Assist the network electronics team, network administrators and network engineers with any projects or work as requested.Required to submit regular timesheets and daily work summaries.All other duties assigned.Education, Training and ExperienceMinimum high school graduate.Current college student enrolled in a technology program/degree is desired.Basic computer/network experience is a plus.Salary/Terms/BenefitsIntern dates: May 30 – July 31, 40 hours per week.Normal workweek: 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Summer hours: June 5 – July 14, working 10 hours a day, 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday).Salary: $15.00 per hour.
