The Houston County Board of Education is seeking a lifeguard to join their team at the aquatic facility. This non-exempt position reports to the aquatics coordinator/teacher and is responsible for a variety of tasks to prevent injuries at the facility, including lifeguarding, water rescue, water tests, and safety procedures.

Professional requirements include serving as a role model to students and maintaining appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards.
Physical demands include walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, crouching or kneeling occasionally, and travel to home sites, school sites, and other locations. The employee is frequently working in outside weather conditions with a usually moderate noise level in the work environment.
Confidential data exposure requires maintaining confidentiality regarding financial and personal information. Additional requirements include being at work on time, meeting attendance standards, conducting activities safely, and being reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling job duties.
