Description
We are currently hiring for all levels of welders. Depending on your experience, knowledge, and ability to pass the in-house testing, will determine what level you will be hired in at.

Level 1 Welder

• Must be completely able to weld GMAW in the carbon discipline.

• Place parts in fixture and weld.

• Properly clean-up welds.

• Welds spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead, etc.

• Ignite flame or strike an arc Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind part as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final quality and precision part.

• Operate other equipment and perform tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs.

• Able to control the processes of fitting, burning, and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating, distortion, expansion or shrinking of parts.

• Inspect finished products and parts by comparing them with drawings/blueprints and/ or samples to verify that customers' specifications are met. Document inspections by completing production work order.

• Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such as shielded metal arc, gas metal arc or other welding equipment.

• Verify and arrange the parts and /or welded parts to be assembled before starting the assembly process. Document and notify Quality of any discrepancies and /or nonconformance.

• Accurately document work on the production work order and note any changes and /or recommendations that are needed for future runs.

• Consistently and accurately clock in and out, record total quantity, and scrap of production work orders using the MieTrak kiosk.

• Complete Welding Kanban as assigned.

Level 2 Welder

• Must competently be able to weld GMAW in the carbon discipline.

• Place parts in fixture and weld.

• Properly clean-up welds.

• Must competently be able to weld GMAW in carbon, stainless, and aluminum.

• Create simple weld fixtures.

• Understand settings on welding machine.

• MUST be able to read a tape measure.

• Welds spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead, etc.

• Ignite flame or strike an arc Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind part as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final quality and precision part.

• Must competently be able to weld GMAW and GTAW in carbon, stainless, and aluminum.

• Create welding fixtures.

• Ability to use and understand calipers.

• Welds spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead, etc.

• Ignite flame or strike an arc Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind part as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final quality and precision part.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance and stand for long periods of time.
  • Analytical Skills: Welders will need to read and understand blueprints, drawings, models, and other specifications.
