Perdue Garage Manager

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages assigned garage staff to include hiring, training, and developing the staff to meet the needs of the department.
• Monitor associate work levels
• Prioritize and assign work to meet customers' needs
• Coach and mentor technicians
• Facility management, assuring a clean, safe, OSHA compliant working environment
• Control repair, inventory, and labor costs
• Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of Perdue's assets in accordance with customer requirements, OEM specifications and DOT regulations.
• Manages the department operations to established operating budgets.

Education and Experience

REQUIRED:

• High School Graduate or GED
• Valid Driver's License required.
• 3-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance management or a minimum of 3 years managing teams in an environment with strong operational performance metrics. Understanding of mechanical processes.
• The associate must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Perdue safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to the correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practice.
• Understanding of standard software applications.
• Strong math, communication, analytical and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills required.

PREFERRED:

• BS Degree preferred (Management)
• Class A CDL
• Mechanical experience

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the garage facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 50'), carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment.
