Position: O&M Technician

Location: Macon, Georgia

Schedule: Week 1 7am-5pm Week 2 10am-8pm Rotating

Pay: $39-$52 Hourly with annual bonus 401k w/ match (Great Retirement plan) - Health, dental, vision - Relocation assistance - PTO - STD, LTD, Insurance, etc.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily plant operations including equipment start-up and shutdown, operator rounds, shift log communications, and physical security oversight.
  • Own assigned systems and work orders, utilizing MAXIMO to plan, execute, document, and close maintenance activities in compliance with the Conduct of Maintenance Program.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct abnormal operating conditions across electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems, escalating as required.
  • Participate outages, and long-range planning activities including job plan development, parts procurement, and inventory management.
  • Serve as Clearance Authority, ensuring safe isolation of equipment and strict adherence to safety procedures and plant operating standards.
  • Administer assigned contracts and coordinate contractor support, including scope development, oversight, budgeting, and status reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain required operational, compliance, and regulatory reports for internal leadership and external agencies.
  • Maintain technical qualifications, plant system knowledge, and working familiarity with emergency, environmental, and operating procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in operations or maintenance at a power generation facility, large natural gas facility, or combustion turbine-driven naval vessel
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Experience with control systems (Siemens T3000, GE Mark VIe, Allen Bradley PLCs) and CMMS systems
  • Ability to work safely around high-voltage equipment and make sound decisions in high-pressure environments
