Target Security Specialist Target

Starting hourly rate: $17.75 USD per hour.

This is a part?time role designed to support a fast?moving retail environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests at the front of the store.
• Promote a physical security culture by maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store and exterior property.
• Respond to and document security incidents promptly and accurately.
• Manage guest issues to maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
• Use de?escalation tactics and resources during incidents.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and support theft apprehension as required.
• Perform merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and shortage while adhering to AP policies.
• Submit incident documentation in the case management system following AP policy and procedures.
• Operate Target's video surveillance system.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times, comply with safety policies, and report hazards.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and remain focused in a fast?paced environment.
• Capability to move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Reliability and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity.
• Mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
