Press Mechanic 2nd Shift Macon

Repairs Press Machines and Diesets to specifications, including the ability to troubleshoot machines or diecast problems and to do repair adjustments using basic hand tools able to operate drill, press and grinders, etc. Performs housekeeping duties, cleaning machines, mopping and sweeping the floor around work area. Able to work with minimum supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Visually inspects press machines and diesets to determine cause of problem with dieset machine. Removes diset from machine and inspects it to detect wear or broken punches, dies, etc.
• Removes and replaces worn or broken parts in dieset, replaces dieset back in machine and starts machine back up, making sure repairs are within standards
• Performs other Maintenance repairs of machines
• Performs other related work as may be required

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED (minimum)
• Basic math skills for metric conversion
• Use of basic hand tools, grinder, vice, parts cleaner and drill or drill press
• Must take an onsite Mechanic's test administered online
