Healthcare Position

Functions as a lead level HA and performs HA duties, assigned to a specific non-patient unit area at a state mental health hospital.

Job responsibilities include:

• Acts as resource/may mentor lower-level staff.
• Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.
• May supervise and/or direct the work of others.
• Answer clients' call signals.
• Assist in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse.
• Bathe, groom, shave and dress clients.
• Conduct activities for recreation and socialization.
• Ensure safety and security of clients.
• Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves.
• Implement assigned parts of client individualized treatment and behavior management plans.
