This position is a customer-service oriented individual who provides frontline support for radiologists, technologists, and imaging operations. This role facilitates timely resolution of imaging-related issues, rounds regularly at assigned hospitals, and serves as the first point of contact for imaging technology support (e.g., PACS, Epic, Powerscribe), including remote and after?hours phone support and remote device access to identify and resolve issues. The specialist must thoroughly understand workflow processes and relationships between ancillary systems and RIS/PACS. Responsibilities also include staff training, daily data and system maintenance, troubleshooting, and disaster planning.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in imaging or information systems departments.
  • No licensure required by law.
  • IT and/or technical expertise in PACS systems preferred.
  • Experience in imaging software and report writing; extensive training with medical IS applications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of imaging technology and information systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay current with advancements in imaging technology.
