Job Summary

This position supports the AF DCGS Program at Robins AFB, GA. The Configuration Manager (Senior) provides CM support for assigned programs, projects, and weapon systems. Experience includes CM and Data Management (DM) activities to support AF LCM of weapon systems or products, identifying CM/DM requirements, validating and verifying product deliveries, and ensuring adherence to established standards (EIA-649-1, DoDI 5000.88, MIL?HDBK?61, AF Data Rights Guidebook, AFMCI 63?1201, DoD Systems Engineering Guidebook, MIL?STD?31000B, and related guidance).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide CM/DM support for AF LCM of weapon systems or products, ensuring compliance with all applicable CM doctrines and standards.
  • Create, update, review, and recommend changes to the Configuration Management Plan (CMP), Information Management Plan (IMP), Data Strategy Plan (DSP), Intellectual Property and Data Rights strategies, and CCB policy.
  • Identify CM and DM requirements for programs and policy, including statements of work, acquisition strategy plans, acquisition management plans, and technical process guides.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage configuration verifications and audits, including system verification reviews, functional configuration audits, physical configuration audits, and related test and engineering data.
  • Manage the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process for the assigned program, maintaining documents such as CCB Directives, Agenda, Minutes, and Charter.
  • Recommend revisions to and draft new CM procedures to meet unique program requirements.
  • Work with the Division CM to standardize organizational processes and tools.
  • Track data necessary to support CM, DM, QA, requirements analysis, risk management, and OSS&E activities, ensuring compliance with CMP and AF SEAM.

Education and Experience

  • Systems Engineering Qualification.
  • Completion of DAU Certification CLCL 005 Supplyability & Design Interface Credential.
  • CM Certification (NDIA CDM, CMPIC) or completion of DAU Certification CLCL 010 Technical Data Management Credential.
  • Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree, 12 years of experience, and 5 years of DoD experience; OR Bachelors degree with 15 years of experience and 5 years of DoD experience; OR equivalent certifications with 20 years of experience and 8 years of DoD experience.
  • CM/DM experience supporting AF LCM of weapon systems or products, with demonstrated ability to validate and verify CM/DM product deliveries.
  • Experience ensuring program compliance with EIA-649-1 CM, DoDI 5000.88, MIL?HDBK?61 CM Guidance, AF Data Rights Guidebook, AFMCI 63?1201, DoD Systems Engineering Guidebook, MIL?STD?31000B, MIL?STD?963, and related documentation.

Security Clearance and Other Requirements

  • Minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance; subject to a government security investigation.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Valid drivers license and expected use of a company vehicle for business purposes.
  • Must pass a background check for access to specific work locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Travel Required

  • Occasional travel for meetings, training, or site visits.
