How You Will Make a Difference

As a valuable member of our cross-functional team at US Renal Care, you will play an essential role as a Patient Care Technician (PCT). You will provide hands-on care and assist with treatment activities for patients dealing with renal failure under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Patient Care: Deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. This encompasses gathering patient statistics before and after treatment, initiating treatments, monitoring patients, terminating treatments, and collecting blood samples in accordance with physician orders.
• Technician Duties: Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, clean and disinfect machines post-procedure, conduct machine safety checks, and log results for quality control, ensuring adherence to all protocols and regulations.
• Safety and Quality: Implement appropriate safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate with the Charge Nurse to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations, and participate in staff meetings and ongoing education.

This position is located at our Milledgeville Clinic, 411 N Jefferson St NE, Milledgeville, GA 31061.

What We Are Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A genuine desire to work in healthcare and provide patient support.
• Previous experience in healthcare, specifically in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is a plus.
• Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate following protocols.
• Able to distinguish all primary colors.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, demonstrating competency within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.
• Obtain Patient Care Technician certification through a state or nationally recognized program within 18 months of hire, maintaining good standing thereafter.
