Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Manager – Federal Construction

Location: On-site – Warner Robins, GA

Salary Range: $120,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

A commercial G.C. client is seeking a highly experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee QC operations on a federal design-build project involving a $20 million hangar paint booth installation at Warner Robins Air Force Base. This is a critical on-site role requiring deep knowledge of federal construction standards and a proven track record of managing complex QC programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement the Three-Phase Quality Control System in accordance with USACE/NAVFAC standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal contract specifications, drawings, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
  • Maintain and submit all required QC documentation and reports.
  • Interface with government representatives and inspectors.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues proactively to avoid delays or rework.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of QC experience on federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, or similar).
  • Solid tenure with previous employers; preference for candidates with long-term roles.
  • Experience with design-build projects and hangar or industrial facility construction is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and other federal safety and quality standards.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • USACE CQM-C certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
