JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE

Custodian

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Oversees the cleaning of buildings and ensures that proper supplies are on hand in that building.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Sufficient strength, agility, dexterity, and oral and written communication skills required to perform all performance responsibilities.
• Ability to work out of doors in a variety of temperatures and climate conditions.
• Ability to quickly learn procedures used to report information and maintain records.
• Ability to get along with building principals and other staff members.

REPORTS TO

Attendance Center Principal

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages inventory of supplies for building cleanliness
• Prepares initial estimates and plans for summer maintenance projects to be bid.
• Implements and administers work routines and work safety programs; participates in routine building inspection program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Twelve months a year. Salary according to School Board Pay Plan.

EVALUATION

Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with School Board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of non-licensed personnel.
