Job Details:
The School of Medicine on the Macon, Georgia campus is searching for a Executive Assistant to assist and support the Dean of the School of Medicine.
Responsibilities:
The Executive Assistant performs highly responsible administrative support, including word processing, scheduling, drafting correspondence, communicating with persons inside and outside the University community, and foreseeing the needs of the Dean in order to prepare her for upcoming events. This position will provide assistance to the Dean related to the promotion and tenure process and maintain and set up all paper faculty personnel files in accordance with accreditation standards. Duties range from general administrative support activities to tasks that require exercising judgment in resolving task-specific problems within established University rules and guidelines. The Executive Assistant must be flexible in providing assistance to various departments and professional staff as requested by the Dean. Additional related duties include providing leadership to the Administrative Assistants to the Campus Deans at the Columbus and Savannah Campuses, as well as supervising the Front Desk Receptionist in Macon. Other responsibilities are assigned by the Dean as needed.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and one year of administrative support experience are required. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered. Candidates must have proficiency with Microsoft Office.
