Job Summary:

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a brick manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of machinery and infrastructure in compliance with safety, quality, andperformance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Maintenance & Repair:
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components, including motors, sensors, control panels, and wiring.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and increase equipment reliability.
• Installation & Upgrades:
  • Install and commission electrical systems, machinery, and control systems for new and existing production lines.
  • Upgrade outdated electrical systems to meet current standards and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose electrical faults using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to resolve equipment and process-related issues.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Follow and enforce safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and PPE usage.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Update electrical schematics and documentation when modifications are made.
• Support Production:
  • Respond promptly to electrical issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure machines are operating efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical training in electrical systems preferred.
• Experience:
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with brick manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, and motor controls.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to use electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Certifications:
  • Licensed electrician (preferred).
  • Certifications in relevant electrical or automation systems (e.g., PLC programming) are a plus.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position with rotating shifts as needed, including weekends and overtime.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in high-temperature environments.

• Dexterity to handle tools and equipment adjustments.

• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
