About Our Client

Our client is a general contractor who has built a strong reputation in the Georgia construction market since their start over 30 years ago. Their pipeline includes projects in a variety of commercial construction sectors including healthcare, education, municipal, and light industrial. Job Description

• Manage bid requests, review bids, develop subcontracts
• Handle all project buyout within designated time frame
• Review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors
• Direction of all RFI's requested
• Direction of all Submittal's requested
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan
• Work directly with Architects, Engineers and Municipalities to ensure plans are designed per owner specifications and value engineered
• Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates
• Review Daily Reports and Safety Inspections from onsite Superintendents
• Organize, attend, participate, and lead project meetings, including subcontractor meetings involving pre-construction, scope of work, scheduling, safety, etc
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
• Ability to read and understand blue prints, CAD files as well as Municipality code and requirements

The Successful Applicant

• 4+ years as a project manager with a general contractor focused on commercial construction
• Experience managing commercial projects in sectors like healthcare, municipal, retail, or light industrial construction
• Experience with ground up construction including site work
• Ability to be client facing and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Proficient in relevant software including Excel and Procore
