$35.23 per hour
Four (4) years of industrial mobile equipment experience are required.
Primary Duties: Perform preventive maintenance, lubricate, repair, and adjust all mobile equipment in the plant. Make decisions and recommendations for equipment rebuilding and replacement.
Working Procedures: Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, complete lubrication and filter changes on schedule, and make adjustments and major repairs as may be needed to keep the equipment in good operating order. Inspect safety equipment for proper operation, accurately diagnose causes of equipment malfunctions, make emergency repairs when required, and perform all types of repairs on axles, drive, and differential brake system, steering assembly, cooling system, hydraulic system, transmission, engine, electrical system and other mechanisms as required. Check battery chargers for correct operation and repair as required. Maintain battery liquid level. Replace batteries as required. Proficient in the selection and use of normal automotive mechanic's tools, gauges, and equipment. Work from pictures of assembly-disassembly procedures and service and owner's manuals. Interpret written and verbal instructions for troubleshooting problems and maintaining/repairing all pieces of equipment. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Observe normal craft safety precautions and plant regulations to prevent personal injury and damage to equipment and materials. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required or requested by supervision. Supervised by Maintenance Department Supervisor.
